Contest Guidelines
Eligibility
- Students must be enrolled as a student when students submit their
entry.
- Students must have co-oped at least once between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010
Submissions
- Students can submit their entries any time between February 1st, 2011 and March 18th, 2011.
- Students may enter as many times as they like, but only one
prize per contestant will be awarded.
- Students must identify which category they're entering (Projects,
People or Perks)
- Students should use their best writing skills. OCEA retains
the right to edit entries for proper grammar and spelling.
- All submissions will be approved by the students' institution before
posting to the contest site.
- Submissions become the property of the students' educational institution,
OCEA and the Ohio Board of Regents and may be used for promotional purposes
beyond the contest.
- All entries will be judged by the Executive Board of the
Ohio Cooperative Education Association in addition to the voting public
Content
- Submissions must have a title for the entry.
- Each submission must include at least one photograph. Each photo must
have a caption.
- Entries must answer the question "Why is their co-op cool?" in
one of three Categories - is it the "Projects" you've
worked on, the "People" you've met, or the "Perks" you
received?
- Entries must be 300 words or less (this is about a paragraph)
so keep it short.
- Entries must include identifying information so we will be
able to find the students and give them their prize (all fields are required)
Contest Timeline
- Submissions - February 1st, 2011 - March 18th, 2011
- Online Voting for the Ohio's Cool Co-ops Contest March 21st, 2011 - April 1st, 2011
- Notification to the winners and information about how to pick up their prizes no later than April 30th, 2011
- All Ohio's Cool Co-ops announced to the world no later than May 20th, 2011
Contest Voting
- Voters to the site will be presented an approved submission randomly
- Voters will be required to complete a CAPTCHA, a web site validation process that attempts to eliminate automated navigation
- Voting assignments are valid for ten (10) minutes only
